The Shadow of War is a direct continuation of the Middle Earth game: Shadow of Mordor. Developed by the American studio Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it is one of the best fantasy action games with role-playing elements.

As you can guess, the game, like the previous part, represents the hard work of several months of the creators, the results of which are complete details of the characters and opponents, as well as refined elements of the environment, complemented by a rich set of animations. and a realistic lighting system. To this should also be added several other changes and improvements to the game mechanics.

This especially applies to Nemesis' unique system, which introduces highly advanced artificial intelligence, allowing more natural reactions of the character to player decisions, for example, after killing too many enemy leaders, the less important ones will start to fear. and this makes it easier to drag them onto your side page. It is also worth mentioning the specially composed climatic music that accompanies the player as he wanders through the volcanic wastelands and the new powers added to the hero's abilities, thanks to which direct fighting with opponents is even more impressive.

Definitive Edition

Shadow of War Definitive Edition is a product that contains both the basic version of the game and a pack of four additional elements, which includes two Story expansions featuring the new campaign, as well as two Nemesis expansions.

• The first DLC called Desolation of Mordor reveals a new region: the Lithlad Desert. The player assumes the role of Baranor there and has the opportunity to create an army of Orientals. In addition, the expansion introduces the game the character of the dwarf Torvin, new beasts, as well as new mercenaries and helpers.

Of course, to achieve their goal, the main heroes have to face many other characters, more or less friendly. During the game, the player will also have the opportunity to meet well-known heroes from Tolkien's books and his projection, including but not limited to the Balrog, the Witch-king of Angmar and also the ruler of darkness - Sauron.

How to play

In the SoW game, players enter a vast open world. As you can easily guess, your main goal is exploration. As in the previous section, the main character still has several useful skills in the fight and during the journey through the extraordinary land, but at the same time the combat mechanics, as well as all the gameplay, have been diversified with several novelties. A good example is even more emphasis on RPG elements - in the game there is more gear, like weapons and armor - and the ability to mount new mounts, like dragons.

The innovative system has also been expanded Nemesis, thanks to which opponents acquire individual characteristics. In short, it means that, depending on the actions, the player creates new enemies or unique comrades. In addition to fighting opponents, it is also important to come up with a strategy that allows you to take control of the enemy's fortress. The Middle-earth: Shadow of War, like its previous part, it has been recognized as a very good game. Critics rated it very highly, indicating at the same time the enormous number of advantages it has, and it is not just about graphics or soundtrack. Players mainly paid attention to the incredible atmosphere that the game creates and a very captivating story, full of interesting characters and sudden and dramatic twists.
