About METRO EXODUS – GOLD EDITION PC

Metro Exodus is a first person shooter video game developed by 4A Games studio and published by Deep Silver. It is the third installment in the Metro saga, based on the novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The events of the Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light installments continue. It was released on February 15, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows and on November 19 of that same year for Google Stadia.

Description

It is the year 2035. A quarter of a century after nuclear war devastated the earth, a few thousand survivors still cling to existence under the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. They have faced the tainted elements, fought mutant beasts and paranormal horrors, and suffered the flames of civil war.

But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a group of Spartan Rangers on an incredible journey across the continent through post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East. Metro Exodus is an epic first-person story shooter from 4A Games that combines deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive worlds ever created for a game.

Explore the wilds of Russia through vast non-linear levels and follow the exciting storyline that spans an entire year from spring through summer and fall to the depths of nuclear winter.
Inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro Exodus continues the story of Artyom in the biggest Metro adventure to date.

Argument

As in previous games, Dmitry Glukhovsky worked on the Exodus stage. The heavily modified steam engine used by the main characters is known as the Aurora. Not all of Artyom's comrades will survive the journey, as 4A promises consequences with decisions as part of a compelling story with massive replayability.

Since Exodus is set after the events of Metro 2035 (in the year 2036), Artyom is still the protagonist and his partner Anna (Miller's daughter) plays a role in the plot of the game as a member of the team of Aurora: the best sniper of the Spartan Order, she is Artyom's advisor and provides support on missions outside of Aurora. Some of the events in the third book are canonical, in one way or another, also in the video game continuity, so Artyom and Anna are now a married couple.

They have fled the subway, leaving Moscow entirely, on a journey to reach Vladivostok in the Far East. Aurora travels across the country using the Trans-Siberian Railway. In the game we can explore vast expanses of the Russian desert, where the air is breathable without the use of filters and the soil can be fertile in some areas; this confirms the information already presented to the reader in the universe of the book series Metro 2033.

In an interview with the developers, it was confirmed that the ending of the previous game's redemption is canonical. Metro Exodus follows from this, where Artyom has gathered a group of survivors to leave the subway and go on a journey.

So far, Anna and Miller are the only familiar characters shown, but there may be more. The bullet economy of the Moscow metro does not apply outside the city, but collection is still just as important as before.

The canon of the game seems to depart from the books on how it presents Miller's character, who is either a very different character than he is in Metro 2035 or has had a big change of heart.

Gameplay

Like previous games in the Metro series, Exodus is a first-person shooter with stealth and survival horror elements. However, it is not exactly the same formula, as the experience has been expanded and developed for greater variation and non-linearity. Since the core teams of both studios have experience working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, his idea was to combine the mostly linear gameplay of the Metro franchise with the more open nature of Stalker.

Thus, Exodus consists of large open world areas linked by underground linear sections to preserve progression. The developers refer to this as "Sandbox Survival", highlighting the fact that it is not a completely open world title. The largest areas of Last Light se cerraron a 200×100 meters, while the Metro Exodus regions stretch to 2 square kilometers. There are numerous places to explore on the surface, but some irradiated outdoor areas may still require gas masks for your safety. Exodus includes a complete weather system with a dynamic day / night cycle (Artyom can rest to pass the time, similar to how it worked in Far Cry 2). 4A Games has not promised Ubisoft-style search missions. Unlike the titles developed by Bethesda, there is no convenient fast travel system here, although Exodus does have shelters and the occasional zip line to launch the player directly into an activity.

The player can customize Artyom's bracelet with indicators (Last Light's nixie watch returns as part of this), while the firearms used in the game can be modified in five different areas: scopes, barrels, magazines, attachments. and actions. Artyom can remove the accessories from the weaponry that he finds on his fallen enemies and then apply them to his own weapons. Many of the mutants from previous titles in the series return (for example, the bear), but there are also many new additions (such as the human or the wolf), which vary by location and weather. A completely new game mechanic It includes a map of the test area area, a Geiger counter, and binoculars that can be used to analyze the environment. Artyom can now holster his weapons to approach potential enemies with less intimidating intent, sometimes even allowing him to avoid combat with other humans altogether. Holstering his weapon also boosts Artyom's running speed.

Personalization

Some examples of how far customization goes this time are the shotgun Uboinik and a variant of the Helsing multi-span air rifle; both have seen some major changes, as the Helsing can be fully converted to a crossbow, while the Uboinik can switch between various magazine types. Similarly, the Revolver serves as the function of a suppressed killing machine with expanded capacity, or as a portable hand cannon with fewer rounds, depending on the player's choice in weapon mods. In fact, unlike previous games where Artyom could only upgrade weapons at set points, firearms can now be modified and customized in the field. Artyom's armor can be modified as well.

4A Games Creative Director Andriy “Prof” Prokhorov described the structure of Metro Exodus as almost an accordion, with each level shrinking or expanding as the story calls for. A garbage disposal system was implemented, somewhat reminiscent of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4; the player can turn trash and valuables found in the world into two key resources: chemicals and materials. These resources can be used to create tools and other elements. Workstations will be scattered around each map, allowing you to create ammunition and modify your equipment.

This extensive collecting / crafting system has been put in place to replace the bullet economy of previous games, which does not apply outside of Moscow. Artyom can now command vehicles, such as rowing a boat across a lake. Quick-time events make another appearance in the Exodus game, but are used sparingly. The enemy's behavior changes with the time of day and the shape of the environment. The karma system from previous games is back and evolved.
