Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter and war action video game. The title was developed by DICE and distributed worldwide by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It is the 15th game in the Battlefield series and the first title in the series to be set in World War I by Electronic Arts since Wings of Glory in 1994. The game was confirmed in May 2016 by Electronic Arts. Its release occurred on October 21, 2016.
Gameplay
Similar to previous installments in the series, Battlefield 1 is a shooter en primera persona que enfatiza el trabajo en equipo.
The game is set in the period of the First World War, and is inspired by historical events. Players can use weapons from World War I, including bolt-action rifles, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, and mustard gas against enemies.
The melee combat was redesigned by DICE, introducing a new melee combat with weapons such as: sabers, trench mallets, and shovels. These melee weapons were divided into two groups: heavy and light.9 Players can also take control of various armed vehicles, including tanks (heavy and light), armored trucks, biplane fighters, battleships and zeppelins, as well as mount Horses in battle. 10 Destructive environments and weapon customizations, which were present in previous games, are present in Battlefield 1 and were more dynamic.
According to game designer, Daniel Berlin, the campaign mode has larger and more spacious environments than in previous installments of the franchise, with more options and different paths to complete levels and enter combat. Players can control various characters in the campaign. In the prologue, if the player dies, they will take control of another soldier and have another role in the battle, instead of returning to the checkpoint. These roles can range from a tank gunner to a flamethrower soldier to a rifleman. When he dies, that soldier's name appears on the screen, with his year of birth. This only happens in the prologue, since in the rest of the war stories, the player controls only one soldier.
Classes
In the multiplayer features you can choose different classes.
- Assault: The main anti-vehicle class. Assault players have submachine guns and shotguns at their disposal, as well as grenades and an anti-tank gun.

Campaign
During the campaign, the player controls six different characters from a first-person view in six different chapters. Unlike previous campaigns, the Battlefield 1 single-player story is made up of six separate "War stories", each teaching it from the eyes of separate soldiers of different nationalities, "Storm of Steel"- the game's prologue is based on France from the eyes of different Harlem Hellfighters, "Mud and blood" - based in France, from the eyes of a British tank driver, "High-flying friends" - France and England, as a Royal Air Corps fighter pilot, “Avanti Savoia” - in Italy, as a sad survivor and member of the Arditi, advancing against the Austro-Hungarian positions at the foot of Mount Grappa. "The messenger" - on the Gallipoli Peninsula, (the European part of Turkey) as an Anzac messenger, and "Nothing is written" - based on Mesopotamia from the eyes of a Bedouin warrior under the command of Lawrence of Arabia.
